Manchester City Striker Wanted At The San Siro
Despite the rumours of growing interest in Sergio Aguero he isn't a player Manchester City are in a hurry to sell.
ESPN has reported - with various newspapers referenced - Aguero is attracting interest from a rival Premier League club, Spanish La Liga and Inter Milan from Serie A.
Antonio Conte - himself linked with potentially becoming Inter coach this summer - wants him at Chelsea with the Mirror claiming £75m would be offered for the 28 year old as the Blues aim to fend off interest from Real Madrid in taking Aguero back to Spain.
However, the Express' alternative view was that Inter are preparing a counter offer for Aguero to make the striker part of the Nerazzurri summer revamp at the San Siro. The Argentine striker would be offered up to £300,000 a week to join.
Inter owners Suning shouldn't - as long as we abide by financial rules - have too much trouble matching the Aguero asking price but the competition for him if he was allowed to leave the Etihad Stadium could be another matter.
Having Aguero at the San Siro would be great but I'd be very surprised if City did let him leave. Which apparently - despite claims to the contrary - Pep Guardiola isn't prepared to consider as an option.
